The Barboglio De Gaioncelli winery boasts about 200 years in the wine business with a presence in Franciacorta since 1875.
The company’s surface area comprises 30 hectares of vineyards. Of the 30 hectares, about 26 are planted with white grape varieties such as chardonnay and pinot bianco, destined both for the vinification of Curtefranca bianco DOC, and for the elaboration of Franciacorta bases from which the various types of FRANCIACORTA DOCG will be obtained. The grapes are harvested in crates of a maximum of 16 kg and the pressing, using pneumatic presses, is carried out in a delicate manner to preserve the organoleptic characteristics of the different batches of grapes. Fermentation and the entire first cycle of vinification are carried out in steel or barriques, the temperatures are controlled and never exceed 18-20 °C. The Franciacorta wines are aged in the bottle for a minimum of 30 months for the basic products and up to 50/60 months for the Millesimati.
